Descalzi Residence

The existing house was expanded to include a new second floor with a large master bedroom suite, bedroom, living room and deck. The interior space is illuminated by clerestory windows over the circular staircase. The house was massed to build to a crescendo at the center of the structure. Second floor spaces are oriented to maximize the New York City views. The exterior of the building incorporates vernacular elements of the surrounding area with brick and stucco siding.
